Private Universities Pave The Way For Youth Education

The Minister for Information and Culture Dr. Sayed Makhdoom Raheen expressed his satisfaction at the ongoing efforts by the private sector in the field of education in Afghanistan. Dr. Raheen was speaking on the occasion of signing of various bilateral agreements between the Deputy Ministry of Youth Affairs and the three private universities namely Vanguard, Maryam and Ghergistan, in Kabul on Monday. The three agreements provide higher education for over 600 youth in the country. Dr. Raheen appreciated the efforts being made by the Deputy Ministry of Youth Affairs in trying to get an access to higher education for the Afghan youth. The Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Mr. Timur Shah Ishaqzai, said such agreements with other universities there are facilities which could provide education for 24000 students in the country. He said efforts are on to see if the fee can be reduced by 50 to 90 percent so as to make higher education more accessible to the students.
