16 metal coins were handed over to Bamiyan's local museum

On Sunday (11th of Dhul-Qa'da 1445), 16 metal coins discovered and confiscated by detective agencies in the Waras district of Bamyan province were handed over to the local museum of the province's information and culture department for preservation based on a letter.
  
Head of Information and Culture, Maulvi Safiullah Raed, while handing over these coins, said: Ancient artifacts show the identity and culture of the past lives of the country's people. 
 
The Department of Information and Culture cooperates with security and investigative authorities to prevent antiquities smuggling and illegal excavations.

Mr. Raed asked the people to inform the security authorities in case of illegal excavation of antiquities so that such activities could be prevented.
