The deputy Minister of Art and Culture has announced the forthcoming initiation of the restoration efforts for Jam Minar
Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture, and the accompanying technical team visited the ancient Jam Minaret in the Shahrak district of the province on an official visit.
During the meeting,Mr Azizi informed reporters that they visited the area to assess the damage caused to Jam Minaret and to evaluate potential future risks. He mentioned that while the floods didn't cause significant damage to the ancient minaret, there are concerns about possible dangers from future floods and natural disasters.
Mr. Azizi has stated that, based on the direction of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Information and Culture leadership, a technical team from several ministries has been appointed to prepare and implement a permanent plan for strengthening the Jam Minaret.
He has refuted recent propaganda about the deviation of the Jam Minaret, calling it false, and emphasized that the minaret is known for its endurance and elegance. He has also urged international cultural organizations, particularly UNESCO, to fulfill their responsibility in ensuring the fundamental strength of the historic Jam Minaret.
