Regular Meeting of the Media Complaints and Violations Commission Convened
On Wednesday (21st Jumada al-Awwal, 1447 AH), the regular meeting of the Media Complaints and Violations Commission was held at the Ministry of Information and Culture, chaired by the Honorable Minister, Sheikh Shair Ahmad Haqqani.
The session was attended by members of the commission and focused on reviewing and addressing a range of issues related to media complaints and violations
At the outset, the commission discussed the matter of certain media outlets using inappropriate names in place of the original names of areas in Chahar Dehi and its surrounding regions of Kabul City — a practice that clearly contravenes Directive No. 4104 issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.
The meeting also reviewed the dispute between the head of Azmon Radio in Khost Province and the opposing party, both of whom had referred their grievances to the Media Complaints and Violations Commission for resolution.
Furthermore, the commission deliberated on several other significant issues, during which members exchanged insights and recommendations.
In conclusion, the commission appointed specialized committees from among its members to conduct a detailed investigation into the discussed matters and present a comprehensive report in the next meeting.
