Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Meeting at the Ministry of Information and Culture

On Monday (5 Jumada al-Awwal 1447 AH), the regular meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry of Publications at the Ministry of Information and Culture, was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Mr. Muhajir Farahi, with the participation of all commission members.

At the start of the meeting, the commission’s secretary presented a report from the previous session, highlighting main activities and results. Everyone reviewed the report and expressed their approval.

The commission discussed several new book submissions. Books that met Islamic principles and Afghan cultural values were approved for printing and publication. The commission also made final decisions on 48 previously reviewed titles, confirming they followed the set guidelines.

In addition, 11 new book submissions were distributed among the commission members for detailed review and evaluation. The outcomes and recommendations of these reviews will be presented in the next scheduled meeting.

The session also included a review of several copies of the Holy Qur’an submitted through the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for which official approval was granted for import and distribution within Afghanistan.
