Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and Administration Attends Media Support Ceremony

On Wednesday, 20 Sha’ban 1446, Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and Administration at the Ministry of Information and Culture, attended a ceremony in Jowzjan province dedicated to supporting journalists and the media. He reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to strengthening and empowering the media sector, emphasizing that no effort would be spared in this endeavor.

During his visit to Jowzjan to oversee and evaluate the provincial Directorate of Information and Culture, Mr. Jamal encouraged media outlets to uphold Islamic values, national interests, and Afghan cultural heritage while accurately reporting on societal realities.

In his remarks at the event, Mr. Jamal highlighted the shared responsibility of the media, government, and citizens in driving national progress.

Jowzjan Governor Qari Gul Haidar Shafaq reiterated the local government’s full support for media activities and journalists, emphasizing that there are no restrictions on press freedom in the province.

Meanwhile, Mawlawi Saifuddin Mo’tasim, Head of the Jowzjan Directorate of Information and Culture, acknowledged the media's vital role in raising public awareness and assured attendees that the government remains committed to creating a conducive work environment for journalists.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, several journalists urged the government to enhance its support for the media sector to strengthen press freedom and promote professional growth.
