The regular meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission was held. 

On Monday (29 Dhul-Hijjah 1447), the regular meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry of Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, was convened under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs, Mohajer Farahi. 

During the meeting, a number of books were reviewed, and decisions were made accordingly. Publications that were found to be aligned with Islamic and Afghan values were approved for printing. In addition, matters relating to 1,877 imported and exported books across 131 different titles were examined, and appropriate decisions were taken. 

Thirteen referred books were also handed over to the commission members for further review, with a report to be presented at the next meeting. 

Furthermore, it was decided that various interpretations and editions of the Holy Qur’an would be referred to the Ministry of Vice and Virtue, Hajj and Awqaf for further assessment and completion of the relevant legal procedures. Files and brochures associated with the Embassy of Japan were also reviewed, and the necessary decisions were made accordingly. 

At the conclusion of the meeting, the chair and members of the commission met with representatives of private publishers and booksellers, where they discussed existing challenges and exchanged views. The deputy ministry of publications affairs reaffirmed its readiness for cooperation and issued the necessary instructions to the relevant departments to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to address the issues raised.
