Regular meeting of the Archaeology Committee chaired by the Deputy Minister for Arts and Culture
The Ministry of Information and Culture held a regular session of the Archaeology Committee, led by Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister for Arts and Culture. Representatives from the Directorates of Archaeology and Historical Monuments participated in the meeting, where they discussed important heritage preservation initiatives.
The session began with a discussion on the identification and authentication of newly discovered historical artifacts in Uruzgan Province. Participants also considered the preservation and maintenance of several significant historical and recreational sites in Kabul, including Bagh-e-Babur, Chehelston Garden, Timur Shah Garden, and other cultural landmarks.
The committee further explored ways to improve visitor facilities and accessibility at these locations. Additionally, Zabiullah Sadat, the Director of Archaeology, presented a comprehensive survey report on the archaeological impact of the TAPI pipeline project in western Afghanistan. This report outlined key findings from the assessment of regions along the proposed pipeline route.
