Regular Meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission Convened
On Monday, 7 Sha‘ban 1447 AH, the regular meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry for Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture, was convened under the chairmanship of Mr. Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Secretary of the Commission presented a report on the previous session. The achievements and activities of the Commission were reviewed and positively evaluated. During the meeting, decisions were made regarding a number of books. Books that were authored in compliance with Islamic principles and Afghan cultural values were granted permission for publication. Additionally, necessary decisions were taken concerning 582 imported and exported book titles.
It is noteworthy that, at the conclusion of the meeting, 20 book titles submitted to the Commission for evaluation were distributed among Commission members for detailed review, in order to present their assessment reports at the next meeting. In the final part of the session, discussions were held regarding the assessment of printing quality standards of the Holy Qur’an and other books, and the required decisions were duly adopted.
