The UNHCR Representative for Afghanistan met with the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs

Thursday (29th of February, 2024), Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture Qari Muhammad Yunus Rashid met with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Leonard Zulu, in his office.
During the meeting, they discussed the problems of the young Afghan refugees, who were forcibly deported from Pakistan and Iran along with their families.
Also, they talked about the strategy and plans of the Deputy Ministry of Youth Affairs in the areas of creating public awareness and job opportunities for newly returned youth.
On behalf of UNHCR, Mr. Zulu assured Mr. Rashid, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, that he will fully cooperate in the implementation of the freelancing program, so that many international job opportunities are provided to young people online.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided that both agencies will soon appoint technical teams to prepare a practical procedure for the implementation of the freelancing program.
