Public Awareness Seminar on the 17th Decree Held in Faryab
The Faryab Directorate of Information and Culture organized a one-day public awareness seminar for dozens of young people on the 17th Decree of His Excellency Amir al-Mu’minin (May Allah Protect Him).
Officials of the Directorate stated that the seminar aimed to explain the provisions of the decree and to enhance awareness among young people of its objectives. They noted that the decree seeks to prevent unnecessary expenditures and discourage harmful social customs associated with weddings, condolence gatherings, and Hajj and Umrah-related ceremonies, while promoting moderation and simplicity in social affairs.
The officials also encouraged participants to play an active role in raising awareness within their families and communities. They emphasized the importance of supporting the decree's implementation and contributing to the elimination of undesirable customs through constructive public engagement and education.
Meanwhile, participants welcomed the seminar and described it as a valuable initiative for increasing public awareness. They expressed their commitment to promoting a culture of simple living, reducing unnecessary expenses, and helping publicize information about the content and objectives of the 17th Decree among the wider public.
The seminar concluded with a call for continued cooperation between youth, community members, and relevant institutions to support the implementation of the decree and strengthen public understanding of its social and economic benefits.
