Governor of Faryab Province Meets with the Minister of Information and Culture
On Thursday (23rd Rabi al-Thani 1447 AH), the Governor of Faryab Province, Mawlawi Abdul Ahad Fazli, met with the Minister of Information and Culture, Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, at the ministry office.
During the meeting, Governor Fazli discussed the current state of tourism services and facilities in Faryab Province. He noted that Faryab, with its abundant natural beauty and rich historical heritage, is one of Afghanistan’s most promising provinces for tourism. He added that by improving infrastructure and providing better facilities, Faryab could attract a significant number of domestic and international tourists, which would help create new job opportunities and contribute to the economic growth and well-being of the local population.
Minister Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani expressed appreciation for the governor’s efforts and assured him that the Ministry is committed to promoting tourism across the country, including in Faryab. He stated that the Ministry will give special attention to developing the necessary facilities and services for tourists, aiming to turn Faryab into an active tourism hub.
Minister Haqqani further emphasized that expanding the tourism industry not only strengthens the economy but also enhances cultural exchange, supports local businesses, and brings positive changes to the lives of the people of Faryab.
