Public Gathering Convened in Laghman Under the Title “Shared Responsibilities of the People and the Government”
The Laghman Provincial Department of Information and Culture convened a public assembly under the title “Shared Responsibilities of the People and the Government.” The purpose of the event was to promote awareness regarding the esteemed decree of the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), which addresses the eradication of harmful cultural practices and the reduction of unnecessary expenditures.
The gathering was honored by the presence of the Governor of Laghman Province, Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, the Director of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Abdul Noor Rasooli, representatives from various governmental departments of the Islamic Emirate, tribal elders, community leaders, youth, and a large number of local citizens.
During the session, Mawlawi Abdul Noor Rasooli delivered a comprehensive address on Decree No. 17 issued by the Esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin. He elaborated on the significance of the decree in curbing detrimental societal customs, emphasizing the necessity of individual adherence as a prerequisite for societal reform. He also outlined the various social and economic harms associated with these negative traditions and urged all attendees to participate actively in the implementation of the decree.
Governor Haqqani, in his remarks, highlighted the decree’s relevance to the welfare of the populace. He noted that harmful customs and extravagant expenditures have contributed significantly to the deterioration of the economic conditions of many families. He expressed confidence that the proper enforcement of this directive would alleviate these challenges to a considerable extent.
Furthermore, participants in the assembly expressed their full support for the decree, recognizing its value to the nation. They committed to disseminating awareness messages at the household level and pledged to make concerted efforts to eliminate harmful customs from society.
