Kabul Information and Culture Department Holds Coordination Meeting with Media Outlets

On 27 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH — The Department of Information and Culture in Kabul held a coordination meeting with officials and representatives of various media outlets, chaired by its Director, Mawlawi Shamsullah Zubair.

The meeting focused on media activities, the timely dissemination of accurate information, the challenges and needs of media outlets, strengthening professional journalism, and enhancing cooperation between the Department of Information and Culture and the media.

Addressing the meeting, Mawlawi Shamsullah Zubair highlighted the important role of the media in raising public awareness, safeguarding cultural values, promoting social reform, and ensuring that reliable information reaches the public. He stressed the need for media outlets to uphold accuracy, integrity, and professional standards in reporting and disseminating news.

He also emphasized that information should be verified before publication and that media outlets should rely on credible sources. He noted that inaccurate and unverified information can create concern among the public and undermine trust.
