Public Awareness Meeting Held in Balkh on Decree No. 17 and Drug Prevention

The Balkh Provincial Department of Information and Culture, in cooperation with the Alborz Scientific and Cultural Organization, held a large public gathering in Mazar-i-Sharif to promote the implementation of Decree No. 17 issued by the Supreme Leader (may Allah protect him), raise awareness of the dangers of drugs, and highlight the importance of public support for Afghanistan’s Islamic system.
Participants stressed the importance of implementing the decree’s provisions, raising public awareness, combating the harmful effects of drugs, and fulfilling the public’s responsibilities in supporting the Islamic system.
Mawlawi Mohammadullah Zarar, head of the Balkh Provincial Department of Information and Culture, highlighted the importance of implementing Decree No. 17. He said that raising public awareness and securing the cooperation of different segments of society were essential to achieving the decree’s objectives. He also emphasized the need to educate the public about the harmful consequences of drug use and the role of the public in supporting the Islamic system.
Religious scholars and tribal elders from Balkh also spoke at the gathering, underscoring the importance of implementing the decree, preventing drug abuse, and fulfilling social responsibilities. They further emphasized the need for public cooperation with officials of the Islamic system to help ensure the country’s stability and development.
