An academic seminar titled “How to Make Reading a Part of Our Daily Life?” was held in the Public Library Hall.
On Thursday, the 15th of Jumada al-Awwal, 1447 AH, the Directorate of Public Libraries under the Deputy Ministry of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture organized an academic session under the title “How to Make Reading a Part of Our Daily Life?”
The seminar was attended by Maulvi Abdul Haq Hammad, Media Advisor to the Deputy Ministry of Publications; Dr. Rafiullah Samim, Director of Public Libraries; Maulvi Safiullah Raed, Head of Press and Media Oversight; as well as several writers and literary figures.
At the beginning of the event, Dr. Rafiullah Samim, Director of Public Libraries, welcomed the participants and expressed his delight in hosting such an academic gathering. He stated that the Directorate of Public Libraries has implemented various educational programs and book review sessions aimed at promoting and strengthening the culture of reading and that similar programs will continue to be organized in the future.
Maulvi Abdul Haq Hammad delivered a comprehensive speech emphasizing the importance of knowledge, reading, time management, and personal responsibility. He urged writers and attendees to set aside a specific time for reading religious, ethical, historical, intellectual, and scholarly books.
Participants shared their questions in the final part of the session, and Mr. Hammad satisfactorily answered them.
