Acting Minister of Information and Culture Visited Helmand Province
Today Saturday (20th January, 2024), Acting Minister of Information and Culture Alhaj Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa visited the historic Bost Qala (Fort) during his visit to Helmand province.
He was accompanied by Alhaj Hafiz Abdul Bari Rashid, Director of Information and Culture of Helmand province and Maulvi Nazar Mohammad Zahid, Manager of National Radio and Television.
During his visit to Bost Qala (Fort), Mr. Khairkhwa said: “The Ministry of Information and Culture has initiated the restoration of the historical sites of Afghanistan, the restoration process of which is progressing seriously,” he added; “Our work team works daily on the research of historical sites, so that all historical sites are officially registered with the Ministry of Information and Culture.”
He also said: "Afghanistan is the best place for tourists now more than ever. We will try our best to solve the problems of tourists so that they can visit every part of Afghanistan in a good way."
In his speech, he also talked about the restoration of the road to Bost Qala (Fort) in which he added that with finding the budget this road would be constructed.
Mr. Khairkhwa also denied the statement of some media that the excavation and seizure of historical areas which was initiated by the previous administration is still continuing. In Afghanistan there is a special unit called 012 which has the responsibility of protecting these historical areas.
Mr. Khairkhwa appealed to all the citizens not to try to build farms or buildings in historical places or within the boundaries of historical places since all the usurped areas will be confiscated from the usurpers and the userpers will be handed over to the law.
