Department of Youth Affairs Hosts Conference on Freelancer Empowerment and Technical Support

On Thursday, February 27, 2025 (28th Sha'ban 1446), the Ministry of Information and Culture’s deputy ministry of Youth Affairs organized a conference titled "Freelancer Empowerment and Technical Support." The event brought together senior government officials, representatives from national and international organizations, and a large number of young professionals.

The conference began with a welcoming speech by Naeemul Haq Haqqani, the head of the Government Media Center. He warmly welcomed the officials and attendees, emphasizing the importance of freelancing initiatives for the youth of Afghanistan. He praised the Department of Youth Affairs for its commitment to empowering young professionals through digital employment opportunities.

Following this, Bakhtur Rahman Sharafat, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Public Health, highlighted the significance of the program. He advised young participants on the importance of time management, stating, "Success is directly linked to how well one manages their time. Anyone who masters this skill will thrive in life, regardless of where they are."

Meanwhile, Mawlawi Muhammad Yonus Rashid, the Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs, reaffirmed the government's commitment to enhancing youth skills and expanding job opportunities. He introduced a specialized freelancing training program aimed at equipping Afghan youth with the expertise needed to succeed on global freelancing platforms and earn sustainable incomes.

He further emphasized that freelancing serves as a gateway for Afghan youth to access international markets, leverage their skills effectively, and achieve financial independence. He stated, "The core objective of this initiative is to integrate Afghan professionals into the global digital economy, empower them financially, and provide them with a strong foundation for long-term success.

 The deputy minister of Youth Affairs remains dedicated not only to fostering freelancing careers but also to promoting education, sports, and ideological self-reliance. The overarching goal is to enable Afghan youth to become self-sufficient, contribute meaningfully to the economy, and drive the nation’s progress through professional excellence.
