Deputy Minister of Art and Culture Visits the Historic Bust Citadel in Helmand
The Deputy Minister of Art and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, paid a visit to the historic Bust Citadel in Lashkargah city Helmand . He was accompanied by a delegation that included technical engineers from the Afghanistan Railway Authority and officials from the Helmand Department of Information and Culture.
During the visit, Mr. Azizi emphasized the historical and cultural significance of the Bust Citadel and expressed appreciation for the efforts made by local authorities to preserve and protect this important heritage site. He acknowledged the department’s dedication and special attention in maintaining the structure’s integrity.
The visit also included a tour of the Sheshk area, where protective work has recently been completed under the supervision of the Ministry of Information and Culture.
Meanwhile, the Railway Authority’s technical engineers stated that their presence aimed to assess the potential impact of the new railway line on historical sites. They assured that all necessary precautions would be taken to preserve and safeguard heritage locations during the construction process.
officials from the Helmand Department of Information and Culture reaffirmed their commitment to the protection of all historical and cultural sites in the province, assuring the Deputy Minister that serious and ongoing efforts are being made in this regard.
