International Archeology Day was celebrated in Bamiyan Province 

The International Day of Archeology was celebrated in the Department Information and Culture of Bamiyan Province.
In this meeting, the Director of Information and Culture of the said province, Safiullah Raed, representative of UNAMA office, Jafar Rahim, as well as teachers and students of Bamiyan University participated.
At the beginning, Mr. Raed talked about the protection of ancient monuments and said; “Ancient monuments and historical places have historical value and are the cultural identity of the country.”
According to Mr. Raed, along with hundreds of ancient monuments in Bamiyan, 8 areas are included in the list of the Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for restoration. Also, in the current situation serious efforts are being made to protect and restore this city.
Later, the Professor of the University, Mohammad Yasin Sharvand, emphasized in his speech that the protection of cultural heritage is not only the responsibility of the Department of Information and Culture, rather it is the responsibility of all citizens.
