Message of the Minister of Information and Culture on the 64th Anniversary of Kabul Times Daily
On the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the establishment of the country’s only state-run English-language newspaper, Kabul Times Daily, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all its journalists, writers, technical and administrative staff, as well as to its esteemed readers.
For more than six decades, Kabul Times has served as the official voice of the country, playing a significant and influential role on the international stage. The newspaper has professionally and responsibly conveyed Afghanistan’s realities, achievements, culture, history, and positions to the global community. Throughout various historical phases, it has fulfilled its mission with unwavering commitment and dedication.
The Ministry of Information and Culture considers the media a fundamental pillar for promoting public awareness, fostering cultural development, and strengthening national unity. As a state media outlet, Kabul Times carries the important responsibility of delivering accurate, balanced, and responsible information. It has rendered valuable services in enhancing the country’s cultural and diplomatic engagement with the international community.
