A delegation from the National Art Gallery, under the Directorate of Art of the Ministry of Information and Culture’s Deputy Ministry of Art and Culture, recently visited Jawzjan province to inaugurate the province’s new art gallery.
During the visit, and in line with the Ministry’s instructions, 20 exquisite artworks, including paintings, calligraphy, and miniature pieces, were transferred from the National Art Gallery to the newly established gallery in Jawzjan.
At the cultural event, speakers congratulated the people and artists of Jawzjan and highlighted the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s commitment to reviving authentic Afghan culture and promoting the visual arts.
Officials from the Jawzjan Department of Information and Culture described the gallery’s opening as a significant step toward boosting cultural and artistic activities in the province. They emphasized that the gallery will serve as a platform for local artists to showcase their work, exchange experiences, and nurture young talents.
It is worth noting that the Directorate of Art under the Ministry’s Deputy for Culture and Art has previously established branches of the National Art Gallery in several other provinces.
