Afghanistan’s Embassy in Qatar Celebrates Victory Day (24th Asad)
The Embassy of Afghanistan in Doha, in collaboration with the Cultural Attaché of the Ministry of Information and Culture, commemorated Victory Day (24th Asad) with a significant ceremony held in the embassy courtyard. The event was attended by esteemed religious scholars and hundreds of Afghan citizens residing in Qatar.
The Cultural Attaché of the Embassy welcomed the guests and extended warm greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Victory Day.
Following this, H.E. Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to Qatar, addressed the audience. In his speech, he stated, “Victory Day is a moment of pride and joy, a day that future generations of Afghans will continue to celebrate. Our people have endured many hardships and made significant sacrifices to achieve this.”
Ambassador Shaheen also emphasized that the current peace, stability, and establishment of the Islamic system are among the greatest blessings from Allah Almighty. He urged everyone to seize this opportunity to assist the nation in advancing across all sectors, so that no one dares to regard Afghanistan with hostility again.
The event featured patriotic poems and national anthems dedicated to independence. Several speakers highlighted the importance of Independence Day, the necessity for national unity, and our collective responsibility for Afghanistan’s development and prosperity.
