Badghis: Information and Culture Directorate Hosts Coordination Meeting with Journalists

The Directorate of Information and Culture in Badghis Province held a coordination meeting with journalists, Emirate institution spokespersons, UNAMA Western Zone officials, members of the Journalists’ Safety Committee, and the media.

Director of Information and Culture, Akhundzada Matiullah Muttaqi, said the Directorate is “a shared home for all journalists and media outlets,” adding that significant steps have been taken to solve media-related challenges and ensure close cooperation with the press.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Olivia, Head of UNAMA’s Western Zone, emphasized that “access to information is the right of every individual,” reaffirming UNAMA’s strong ties with the local media in Badghis.

Representatives of the Journalists’ Safety Committee concluded the meeting with remarks emphasizing the importance of protecting and ensuring the safety of media workers.
