Afghanistan’s cultural attaché meets with the Indian cultural attaché in Ankara, Turkey
The Cultural Attaché of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Information and Culture, Qari Hamidullah Tamkin, met with Mr. Rajbir Singh, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of India, in Ankara, Turkey.
Qari Hamidullah Tamkin began the meeting by thanking India for the long history of cultural ties between the two countries. He spoke about the need to build even stronger cultural cooperation. He also pointed out that the shared history, language, and arts of Afghanistan and India create a solid base for working together in culture, academics, and education.
Mr. Tamkin also thanked India for its ongoing support of Afghanistan’s cultural sector. He stated that Afghanistan is working to revive its national and historical heritage and welcomes cultural cooperation from friendly countries, particularly India.
Mr. Rajbir Singh praised the efforts of the Afghan cultural attaché in enhancing bilateral cultural relations. He reaffirmed that India stands in solidarity with the Afghan people and is ready to enhance cooperation in the fields of culture, education, arts, and historical heritage.
Both sides agreed on the importance of exchanging cultural delegations, organizing joint cultural and artistic events, and building stronger connections between their academic and cultural institutions.
