The Revision of Boards and Panels Was Done in Sar-e-pul Province

Officials of the Department of Information and Culture of Sar-e-pul province say that testerday, they conducted a campaign to remove foreign languages from signs, boards , and panels in the said province and to promote national and local languages instead.
Director of Information and Culture Mullah Abdul Ghaffar Haqnama said; “One of the foundations of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is to keep the original Afghan culture and national and local languages alive, for this purpose the revision of Boards and Panels. Foreign languages were used in most work classes in the province, which is prevented by this committee.”
A number of residents of Sar-e-pul province also express their happiness with the said action of the authorities and say; “In the past two decades, besides the military occupation in Afghanistan, there were also many problems in the cultural sector. People were also exposed to foreign culture and literature and were far away from their authentic literature.”
