The Culture of Masnavi Reading is Still Alive in Panjshir Province

The Department of Information and Culture of Panjshir province held a Masnavi reading program with civil and military officials, cultural people, poets, writers and those interested in Masnavi on Wednesday night in Safidar village of District Darah.
Maulana Nasrullah Malikzadeh, Director of Information and Culture, said: “This program was made with the support of cultural workers in collaboration with the Department of Information and Culture, in which several stories of the Companions and Prophets, peace be upon them, were explained.” He added that those elders that have spent their life reading Masnavi, Shahnama and Jangnama should keep this tradition alive. Now with the rule of the Islamic Emirate that security has been ensured, programs of reading Masnavi at night have also increased in Panjshir province.
Sufi Saifullah Ghafouri, a resident of Rokhe district of Panjsher, who participated in this program, said: “Compared to other books in Panjsher province, there are more Masnavi al-Maniwa, Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, Iskandarnameh Nizami, Yusuf and Zalikha, Hafiz and Maulana's other poems were read and there were many fans.”
