On Sunday, the 24th of Rabi al-Thani 1446, the Commission for the Improvement of Placards and Advertisement Boards, associated with the Ministry of Information and Culture, held a cooperation and coordination meeting with officials from the chambers of tradesmen and shopkeepers in Kabul city.
 
The meeting took place at Chileston Garden and was attended by Mawlavi Sher Muhammad Abbas Stankzai, the deputy minister for political affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the head of Bakhter News Agency; and the acting deputy minister of broadcasting affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture. Qari Wali Gul Jawad, the Cultural Director of Kabul Municipality; officials from various trade unions; Haji Sakhi, the General President of the Kabul Chamber of Commerce; media representatives; and shopkeepers.
 
The meeting began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an. Following this, Mawlavi Zia-ul-Haq Haqmal addressed the attendees, stating that under the leadership of the deputy Ministry for Public Affairs, representatives from various agencies are working to preserve and develop Afghan culture, as well as national and local languages. After the organization of the commission Approximately 200 alternative words have been identified in the national language, and 6188 problems have been solved. He emphasized that all Afghans and trade unions are responsible for keeping their original culture and languages alive. The media plays a crucial role in raising awareness, and he hoped their cooperation would continue to expand.
 
Mr. Haqmal further mentioned that under the rule of the Islamic Emirate, reform committees for the Sign Board and Advertising Boards have been established first in the capital and then in the provinces. These committees have achieved positive results both in districts and provincial centers, leading to significant improvements in billboards throughout the country.
 
Mawlavi Sher Muhammad Abbas Stankzai addressed the meeting and thanked the Ministry of Information and Culture for establishing the commission. He added that Afghanistan has a rich cultural heritage spanning thousands of years, and relevant institutions are responsible for preserving this culture. Stankzai remarked that Afghanistan is a multicultural country where Pashto and Dari are the national and official languages. He stressed that activities should be conducted in these national, official, and local languages and made several useful recommendations to the participants.
 
During the meeting, Qari Wali Gul Jawad and Haji Sakhi also shared their views and assured participants of their full support in the reform of billboards and advertisement boards.
 
The meeting concluded with a prayer.
