Officials of the Afghanistan Association of Tourism, Pilgrimage, Hajj, and Umrah Companies Hold Consultative Meeting with Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance, and Administrative affairs
A delegation of officials from the Afghanistan Association of Tourism, Pilgrimage, Hajj, and Umrah Companies, led by the Association’s Chairman, Mr. Mohammad Gulab Sultanzai, held a consultative meeting with Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance, and Administration at the Ministry of Information and Culture. The meeting focused on discussing the association’s proposals, operational concerns, and recommendations.
At the outset, the representatives—who had traveled from Kabul as well as the provinces of Kandahar, Nangarhar, Khost, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, and Farah—expressed their gratitude to the Ministry of Information and Culture for its continued support, facilitation, and responsiveness in addressing the needs of the association.
During the discussions, the delegation raised several matters concerning taxation, service fees, licensing procedures, and other operational issues. They requested that the Ministry and other relevant government institutions review these issues and provide the necessary support to improve services. The representatives also pledged their commitment to enhancing the quality and standards of services provided by their companies.
In response, Deputy Minister Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal assured the delegation that all requests and proposals would be shared with the relevant authorities for appropriate consideration. He emphasized the importance of delivering high-quality and professional tourism, pilgrimage, Hajj, and Umrah services across the country. He further reaffirmed the Ministry’s support, highlighting that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan remains committed to providing all necessary facilitation to strengthen the sector.
The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations presented to the association’s representatives, along with a renewed commitment to hold such engagements regularly to promote the growth and development of Afghanistan’s tourism sector.
