Routine Meeting of the Signage and Advertising Reform Commission Held at the Ministry of Information and Culture
Tuesday, 5th Muharram 1447The Ministry of Information and Culture held a scheduled meeting of the Signage and Advertising Reform Commission, chaired by Mr. Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications.
The meeting began with a presentation by the Commission’s secretary, who shared progress reports on three regional projects. Deputy Minister Farahi praised the Commission’s recent efforts and achievements, highlighting their positive impact on media and public communication.
Key points of discussion included: the distribution of standardized terminology and appropriate native-language alternatives across provincial offices, the regulation and content of public signage—including stickers posted at bus stops—and the identification and replacement of foreign words with culturally and linguistically suitable terms in official and promotional materials.
To support implementation, a specific area was designated for field monitoring, enabling the regional committee to carry out practical oversight of reforms at the local level.
