Tourism and Hospitality Institute and Afghan Tour State Company Sign Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Sector Capacity

On Monday (20 Muharram 1448 AH), a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the Tourism and Hospitality Institute under the Department of Tourism Research and Development of the Ministry of Information and Culture’s Deputy Ministry for Tourism, Finance, and Administrative Affairs, and the Afghan Tour state-owned company.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the deputy minister for Tourism, Finance, and Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Qudratullah Jamal; the Head of State-Owned Companies, Mawlavi Mohammad Nabi Baha; and the Director of Tourism Research and Development, MawlaviMohammad Sadiq Sadaqat.
Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, emphasizing that its primary objective is to enhance academic, educational, and professional capabilities. The agreement is designed to strengthen staff skills through practical training and work-based learning while promoting the exchange of experience and technical expertise. 
It aims to improve the quality of services in the tourism and hospitality sector, ensure the effective utilization of existing resources and capacities, and implement collaborative educational, research, and development programs in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in organizing specialized training programs for tour guides, managers, and staff, providing practical training opportunities for students, and hosting seminars and academic conferences. They will also collaborate on joint research projects, assess and improve the quality of tourism services, and engage in other areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening the sector.
The agreement was signed by Mullah Mohammad Zaman Naseri, Director of the Tourism and Hospitality Institute under the Department of Tourism Research and Development, and Noor Mohammad Hassankhel, Head of Trade and Marketing of the Afghan Tour state-owned company.
