Tourism and Hoteling Institute Students Present Report on Academic Visit to Ghazni Province
Twelve students from the Tourism and Hoteling Institute, operating under the Directorate of Tourism Development and Research of the Deputy Ministry for Tourism, Finance, and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, presented their report to Deputy Minister Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal following an academic visit to Ghazni Province.
The visit aimed to enhance the students’ understanding of Ghazni’s tourism attractions, historical monuments, rich cultural heritage, and notable personalities.
During the meeting, Mr. Rahmatullah Ahmadi, a lecturer at the institute, expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Ministry for facilitating the trip, emphasizing that such educational visits significantly contribute to broadening students’ practical knowledge and exposure.
Several participating students shared their experiences and observations from the trip, noting that such initiatives not only strengthen academic learning but also help lay the foundation for the growth of Afghanistan’s tourism industry. They also presented an informational brochure prepared for foreign tourists as part of their field study.
In his remarks, Deputy Minister Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal praised the efforts of the Tourism and Hoteling Institute, recognizing its vital role in developing skilled youth for Afghanistan’s growing tourism sector. He stressed that the development and sustainability of tourism depend on the active participation of trained professionals, and assured that graduates from the institute will be provided with employment opportunities in tourism companies to help strengthen the industry further.
The Deputy Minister concluded by reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing the institute’s programs and infrastructure, ensuring that Afghanistan’s tourism industry continues to grow under the guidance of competent and professional individuals.
