A two-day coordination meeting concluded between government agency spokespersons, and media officials from the eastern zone
On Wednesday (1st of Rabi al-Awwal 1446), a two-day coordination meeting for spokespersons and officials of the government agencies of the eastern zone was held at the Spinghar Hotel in Jalalabad was concluded.
The meeting was attended by Acting Deputy Minister Mawlvi Ziaul Haq Haqmal, Legal Adviser to the Ministry, Qari Saeed Khosti, Head of the Access to Information Department, Maulvi Rahmatullah Nariwal, and heads of various agencies of the Ministry. Nangarhar Deputy Governor Maulvi Saeed Ahmed Banuri, spokespersons from the Information and Culture Departments of the Eastern Zone, as well as officials and journalists from civil and military agencies, were also present.
On the second day of the meeting, Professor Orang Samim of Khorasan University presented the characteristics of a professional spokesperson and journalist, emphasizing the importance of a good reputation, good character, communication skills, and knowledge of professional and international journalism standards.
Maulvi Rahmatullah Nariwal, the head of the Department of Access to Information of the Ministry of Information and Culture, mentioned that Access to Information was a commission in the past, that inverted into a functioning department and expressed his confidence in resolving problems in this area.
Following this, Qari Saeed Khosti, the legal adviser of the Ministry, emphasized the commitment to freedom of expression while protecting Islamic and Afghan values and urged unity in preventing intellectual warfare.
Moulavi Abdul Haq Hamad, the copyright manager of the Ministry, highlighted the responsibility of the media to serve the country and urged them to take an active role in doing so.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees, including agency spokespersons, media officials, journalists, and the Nangarhar FM Radio Association, shared their concerns and requests, which were addressed by Mawlavi Ziaul Haq Haqmal, the acting Deputy Minister of Broadcasting. He assured them of addressing the problems and provided recommendations in various areas.
Mr. Haqmal emphasized the importance of gathering and addressing their problems and requests and stressed the need to train the youth in the Islamic spirit, as they represent the future leaders of the country.
