Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs Meets Journalists and Media Officials in Herat

Mawlawi Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with a number of journalists and officials from local media outlets during his visit to Herat province. The meeting focused on improving media affairs, addressing existing challenges and considering proposals put forward by media representatives.

During the meeting, representatives of local media outlets and the head of the Afghan Journalists Safety Committee for the Western Zone outlined the challenges facing media activities, journalists’ professional needs and the difficulties encountered by local media outlets. They also presented suggestions on strengthening support for regional media and improving the dissemination of information.

After listening to their concerns and recommendations, Mawlawi Farahi underscored the role of the media in informing the public and raising public awareness. He thanked journalists and media officials for their work and continued efforts, and assured them of his full cooperation in addressing their concerns and following up on their proposals.
