Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Session
On Monday, 6 Muharram 1447 AH, the Book Evaluation Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, held its regular session. The meeting was chaired by Mawlawi Mohajer Farahi, the Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs.
The Commission reviewed several books submitted for evaluation and made important decisions regarding their publication. Books that were deemed consistent with Islamic and Afghan values were approved for printing and distribution.
The Commission also examined a total of 2,498 imported and exported books, which comprised 53 different titles. The necessary decisions were made regarding the status of these books. Additionally, ten books required further assessment were assigned to Commission members for detailed review, with the findings to be presented at the Commission’s next meeting.
The meeting included discussions on various publications concerning the Directorate of Quranic Transcription and the Publication of Bayhaqi Books. After a thorough evaluation, members exchanged views on the proposed reprinting of these works and made relevant decisions.
Furthermore, the Commission reviewed the catalogs of books submitted by private publishing associations. Following their observations and recommendations, the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs issued guidance to the relevant departments for follow-up actions.
