Tourism and Hospitality Institute Signs Cooperation Agreement with Educational Consultancy Companies
The Tourism and Hospitality Institute, under the Ministry of Information and Culture’s Deputy Ministry for Tourism, Finance and Administration, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Association of Educational Consultancy Companies to strengthen professional training and develop skills in the tourism and hospitality sector.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance and Administration; Mawlawi Mohammad Sadiq Sadaqat, Director of Tourism Research and Development; several ministry directors; and representatives of the association.
The agreement aims to expand cooperation in education and professional skills development, enhance young people’s academic and technical capabilities in tourism and hospitality, and provide practical, standardized training to prepare a skilled workforce for the sector.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mawlawi Mohammad Zaman Naseri, head of the Tourism and Hospitality Institute, highlighted the importance of the agreement. Noor-ul-Rahman Qasimi, head of the Association of Educational Consultancy Companies, expressed appreciation for the ministry leadership’s support and cooperation, describing the agreement as an important step towards strengthening the professional skills of people working in tourism and hospitality.
Addressing the gathering, Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal said Afghanistan is a common home for all its people and emphasized the importance of working together to strengthen and develop the country’s tourism industry.
He added that the Ministry of Information and Culture fully supports associations of educational consultancy companies, as well as associations of tourism and pilgrimage companies.
Jamal also noted that young Afghans who travel abroad to continue their education represent their country. He stressed that their conduct should reflect the values of the Islamic system and that they should have a sound understanding of Afghanistan’s history so they can represent the country well.
He further noted that Afghanistan has made significant achievements in various fields and possesses considerable potential in tourism.
The agreement was signed by Mawlawi Mohammad Zaman Naseri, head of the Tourism and Hospitality Institute, and Noor-ul-Rahman Qasimi, head of the Association of Educational Consultancy Companies.
