A coordination meeting was held between the Department of Information and Culture of Helmand Province and Media Officials

Today, Thursday (2023/6/8), a coordination meeting was held between the Department of Information and Culture of Helmand and the officials of the media of this province, during which the Manager of Information Maulvi Muhammad Qasim Riaz, the Manager of National Radio and Television, Maulvi Nazar Mohammad Zahid, Media Officials, independent and local media reporters and spokespersons of government agencies participated.

At the beginning, Abdullah Haqmal, the provincial Head of the Afghan journalists' Protection Committee, said that the purpose of this meeting is to create better coordination between the government and journalists. He said that the Committee for the Protection of Afghan Journalists will organize workshops related to professional journalism for journalists in the future in order to solve the problems that journalists might face.

In the meeting, the reporters praised the efforts of the Department of Information and Culture in this province and added that we are carrying out our daily affairs in coordination with the Department of Information and Culture and reflecting on the news by considering the values, since it is our duty and responsibility, while the role of the Department of Information and Culture is very effective in this regard.

The Manager of Information of the Department of Information and Culture Mawlavi Muhammad Qasim Riaz assured the journalists of cooperation within the framework of the media law and promised to address the problems of journalists and media workers on time. He added that in accordance with Islamic Values and Afghan culture, we are committed to cooperate with the media.
