During the visit, the Director of Information and Culture for Samangan described the province as one of Afghanistan’s culturally and historically rich regions, emphasizing the significance of its heritage sites and calling for increased attention to their preservation and protection.
The Director of Cultural Heritage Preservation also briefed the delegation on the historical importance of several ancient monuments and outlined the challenges facing the conservation and maintenance of archaeological sites and historical landmarks across the province.
Deputy Minister Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal conducted a thorough assessment of the condition of the historical and archaeological sites and, as a result, issued directives to strengthen efforts for preservation.
