The Ambassador of Indonesia to Kabul, Dr. Nanda Avalist, paid an official visit to Ghazni Province, during which he met with the Director of Information and Culture of Ghazni and toured the provincial museum and several historical sites.

Dr. Avalist stated that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen cultural relations between Indonesia and Afghanistan, adding that efforts are underway further to expand cultural and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Meanwhile, the Director of Information and Culture of Ghazni Province, Mullah Hamidullah Nisar, said that the Ghazni Provincial Museum houses thousands of historical artifacts from both the Islamic period and pre-Islamic eras, which play an irreplaceable role in identifying and preserving Afghanistan’s historical identity.

According to Mr. Nisar, this visit helps pave the way for strengthening cultural relations between the Islamic Emirate and the Government of Indonesia, as well as for the protection of shared historical and cultural heritage.

The Indonesian Ambassador and his accompanying delegation also visited the Al-Biruni Public Library and several ancient sites in the province. On this occasion, Mr. Nisar presented Dr. Nanda Avalist with a volume of scholarly research articles on Abu Rayhan al-Biruni that was published in Afghanistan.

It is worth noting that some time ago, the Ambassador of Türkiye also visited Ghazni Province and toured the Ghazni Provincial Museum and a number of historical sites.
