Members of Signage and Advertising Boards Reform Commission Meets with Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce 

On 6 Safar 1448 AH Members of the Signage and Advertising Boards Reform Commission met with the Administrative and Financial Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
The meeting was held in accordance with the guidance of the Deputy Ministry for Publications and the decision made  during the Commission's previous meeting.
The discussions focused on requests submitted by shopkeepers and business owners in Kabul and the provinces seeking the free replacement of business licenses whose titles contain foreign terms and expressions that require Standardization. Participants also emphasized the importance of giving priority to Afghanistan's national languages, Pashto and Dari, ensuring that all newly issued business licenses for applicants in both the capital and the provinces are prepared using these languages.
During the meeting, members of the Commission briefed H.E. Alhaj Mawlawi Shahabuddin Saqib, Deputy Minister for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, on the progress and objectives of the Signage and Advertising Boards Reform Initiative.
Welcoming the initiative, Mawlawi Shahabuddin Saqib reaffirmed the Ministry of Industry and Commerce's full support for efforts aimed at strengthening and promoting Afghanistan's national languages and cultural heritage. He also expressed the Ministry's commitment to cooperating closely in implementing the proposed reforms.
The Commission noted that it continues to work in coordination with relevant government institutions to promote broader use of Afghanistan's national languages in the naming of businesses and commercial signage, while preventing the unnecessary use of foreign words in business names and advertising boards.
