Minister of Information and Culture Visits the Directorate of Public Libraries

On Tuesday, the 1st of Sha'ban, 1447 AH, the Minister of Information and Culture, Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani, visited the Directorate of Public Libraries, accompanied by a delegation, to assess its activities.

During the visit, officials from the Directorate provided the Honorable Minister with detailed information regarding the ongoing renovation work in public libraries, the overall status of these libraries, and the existing challenges they face.

Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani inspected the renovation work, observed the reading halls, and reviewed the book scanning process.

The Minister described the Directorate of Public Libraries as an important institution and expressed his satisfaction with the programs being implemented to encourage writers and promote a culture of reading.

Furthermore, he offered essential recommendations to the officials and assured them that efforts would be made to address the issues and proposals concerning public libraries.
