Public Gathering Held in Zabul to Enhance Implementation of Decree No. 17 of the Supreme Leader (May Allah Protect Him)
A public gathering was held in Zabul Province by the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture to ensure the effective implementation of Decree No. 17 of the Supreme Leader (May Allah Protect Him), which addresses the prevention of harmful social practices.
The event was attended by the Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs, Mr. Muhajir Farahi; senior officials from Emirate institutions; respected religious scholars; academics; tribal elders; writers; media representatives; and youth members.
Mr. Farahi emphasized that implementation of the decree must start at the individual level. He called for coordinated, ongoing efforts among educators, religious leaders, and community leaders to combat harmful traditional practices. He also highlighted the role of academic institutions in raising students' awareness and stressed the media's responsibility to actively support and accelerate social reform.
Mawlawi Hamdullah Fitrat, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, delivered a message from the leadership, reaffirming the importance of Decree No. 17 and the need for its implementation.
Mawlawi Rahmatullah Hammad, the Director of Information and Culture, and other speakers, discussed the importance of eliminating harmful societal practices. They noted that the decree was issued in response to social challenges and that its enforcement is crucial for meaningful societal reform. The speakers also shared the full text of Decree No. 17 and stressed the importance of comprehensive enforcement.
At the end of the meeting, tribal elders described Decree No. 17 of the Supreme Leader (May Allah Protect Him) as important for society and expressed their full support and commitment to ensuring its implementation.
