Ministry of Information and Culture Honors Outstanding Afghan Artists
The Directorate of the Institute of Arts, affiliated with the Deputy Ministry for Arts and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture, honored a number of artists in painting, calligraphy, and miniature art with certificates of appreciation and cash awards.
The artists were recognized for exhibiting their works at the Loya Jirga Hall on the occasion of 24 Saratan.
Mufti Mohammad Lal Muneeb, Director of the Institute of Arts, expressed appreciation for the artists' contributions, noting that their works effectively portrayed aspects of society and presented them to visitors through artistic expression.
Mr. Muneeb emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Culture is committed to supporting Afghan artists and recognizing those who contribute to the creation of high-quality artistic works.
Meanwhile, several of the honored artists expressed gratitude to the Directorate of the Institute of Arts for the initiative. They said that such recognition and encouragement would motivate them to further improve their work and create higher-quality art.
The artists also commended the Ministry of Information and Culture's efforts in supporting the arts and called for the continuation of similar programs.
The award-winning works were also displayed on the sidelines of the ceremony.
The artistic works were evaluated by two professors from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Kabul University. Following the evaluation, 45 works were selected as award winners.
