Reformative Meeting Held at Ministry of Information and Culture to Strengthen Implementation of Decrees and Orders of the Amir al-Mu’minin
A reformative meeting was held by the Directorate of Guidance and Outreach of the Ministry of Information and Culture to promote better implementation of the decrees and orders of the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him) and the Law on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, in the presence of Minister of Information and Culture Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Information and Culture, Deputy Minister for Arts and Culture Sheikh Abdul Rahman Tayebi, as well as directors and staff members of the ministry.
At the beginning of the meeting, Director of Guidance and Outreach Mawlawi Abdul Salam Agha Saeed provided detailed information on relevant provisions of the decree of the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him) and the Law on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice concerning employees’ appearance and conduct, the performance of prayers, and participation in religious and doctrinal lessons.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Information and Culture Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani underscored the importance of holding such meetings to further enhance employees’ understanding of religious matters. He said it was a matter of gratitude that, alongside carrying out their administrative responsibilities, ministry employees are also provided with religious and doctrinal instruction.
The minister added that the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him) has emphasized the teaching of religious sciences within government institutions. He noted that the laws and decrees of the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him) have been established for the welfare, well-being and prosperity of individuals and society, and that their observance and implementation contribute to social reform, order and the improved conduct of affairs.
Sheikh Sher Ahmad Haqqani also spoke extensively about the importance of performing prayers, observing appropriate conduct and appearance in accordance with Islamic Sharia, and acquiring religious and doctrinal knowledge.
The Minister of Information and Culture called on all ministry employees to cooperate with officials of the Directorate of Guidance and Outreach in strengthening implementation of the Law on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. He also urged employees to carry out their responsibilities effectively, facilitate services for the public, and process people’s affairs within the shortest possible time.
