Tourism Research and Development Director Visits Nuristan to Assess Tourism Potential
Director of Tourism Research and Development at the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawlawi Mohammad Sadiq Sadaqat, has visited Nuristan Province as part of an official tour to develop and promote tourism in the province.
During the visit, Sadaqat met with Nuristan Governor Mawlawi Zain-ul-Abidin Abid and Sami-ul-Haq Haq Bayan, Director of Information and Culture of Nuristan. The discussions centered on promoting tourism, showcasing the province’s scenic natural landscapes, and exploring ways to develop its tourism sector further.
Sadaqat also visited a number of tourist and scenic sites in the province, as well as the Tourism Hotel, where he reviewed its operations.
Meanwhile, staff from the Directorate of Tourism Research and Development documented Nuristan’s scenic areas through photographs and video footage. The material is intended to help introduce the province’s tourist attractions and natural sites to the public and highlight its tourism potential.
Nuristan is known for its mountains, natural landscapes and distinctive local traditions, giving the province considerable tourism potential. Efforts are continuing to further develop and strengthen the tourism sector in the province.
