Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Meeting
On Monday, 20 Muharram 1447 AH, the Book Evaluation Commission of the Ministry of Information and Culture, under the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs, held its regular meeting, chaired by Deputy Minister Mr. Mohajer Farahi.
During the session, the Commission reviewed several publications and made decisions regarding their approval for publication. Books deemed compliant with Islamic and Afghan values were approved.
The Commission also examined 160 imported and exported books, representing 61 different titles, as part of its ongoing review process. Additionally, 10 previously referred books were assigned to Commission members for further assessment, with detailed reports to be presented at the next meeting.
Discussions were held regarding the publication of works by an author specializing in religious literature. The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to providing necessary support to facilitate the publication process in accordance with established procedures.
Furthermore, the Commission approved five English-language supplementary educational textbooks, completing the review of those titles.
This regular meeting is part of the Commission's ongoing efforts to evaluate publications in line with the country’s legal framework and to support the publication of works that meet the required standards.
